Samura Kamara Reacts to incidences of Violence in Parts of Sierra Leone



 2023 Presidential Aspirant, Dr Samura Kamara has reacted to incidences of protests and violence in various parts of Sierra Leone.


Dr Kamara posted on his Twitter page “I am deeply troubled by the incidences of violence in parts of the country today. The right to protest comes with a responsibility to be law a abiding . Government must do all it can to de-escalate tensions. My heartfelt condolences to the families of those that we have lost today.”


 

The protests started with a sit-down strike that led to closure of major shops and later degenerated into blood-bath between police and protesters.


Many Protesters and police officers have been reportedly killed in various clashes between them in various parts of the country.
