Military Out to Restore Law and Order in Freetown

Members of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) have taken to the streets of Freetown to restore law and order after today’s protest turned into bloody violence in some part of the capital.

In a video shared on social media, the Military officers are seen matching in the capital trying to calm down the situation.

They were however warmly received and praised by the protesters.

On Tuesday, the Government of Sierra Leone directed the Military to assist the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) under the backing of Military Aid to Civil Power (MACP) Policy in the Emergency Category.
