Government of Sierra Leone Announces New Transport Fares

 



The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Transport and Aviation in collaboration with Motor Drivers Union have today, Thursday 11th August 2022 announced new transportation fares for various destinations within the Municipality of Freetown and across the country.


The announcement surfaced the web on a press release by the Ministry on a further reduction of fuel pump prices from Le19 to Le18 per litre.


On a press release from the Ministry of Transport and Aviation, it reads:


“Following the public pronouncement on the decrease in the pump price of fuel per litre for Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene from Le 19 to Le 18, the General public is hereby informed that the Ministry of Transport and Aviation in collaboration with the Motor drivers Union and other key Stakeholders in the Transport Sector have agreed as follows for public transportation fares within the Freetown Municipality and the Provincial/Across-Border Routes effective Thursday 11th August, 2022.”
